The Story

Norman Brannon, guitarist of Texas Is The Reason, Shelter, and New End Original, ran Anti-Matter fanzine from 1993 until 1995, only releasing four issues. Despite the short lifespan of the zine, Anti-Matter solidified its space in zine history with thoughtful interviews, great layouts, and releasing two 7"es and a compilation album (with one of the best Quicksand songs to boot). Issue #3 of Anti-Matter, which is actually the first issue of the zine, features an eclectic group of interviews, from major label acts like Quicksand and Rage Against The Machine to 90s New Jersey hardcore staples Mouthpiece, Resurrection, and Lifetime to shoegaze legends Swervedriver. Anti-Matter was eventually compiled into a book released by Revelation Records in 2007. This original copy of the mag from winter 1993 has light yellowing on same of the pages.
