Kevin Smith released his debut film, Clerks, in 1994. The movie, which was written and directed by Smith, was low-budget and independent but was loved by critics and fans alike. It is now included in the Library Of Congress's National Film Registry. Clerks follows a gas station employee, Dante Hicks (played by Brian O'Halloran), and his video rental store employee friend, Jeff Anderson (played by Randal Graves), on atypically eventful day.
