The Story
In 1990, The Ramones, Tom Tom Club, Deborah Harry of Blondie, and Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads embarked on a summer tour they dubbed Escape From New York. All of the musicians and band were from NYC, and all had helped lay the foundation for New York's vibrant music scene, and the American alternative scene at large, in the 1970s. And so by that point, everyone was a legend. To see "Blitzkrieg Bop" and "Heart Of Glass" performed live in the same night was an amazing opportunity, one that can never be recreated unless your at a karaoke bar these days. The tour went across the country and back, bringing the beautiful sounds of New York all over. This original Escape From New York tour shirt, in great condition, was originally owned by a local crew member for the 1990 tour.
