Green Day, the Bay Area pop punk band, released Dookie, their third full length, in 1994. The band had already come up through the underground punk scene, making waves at venues like 924 Gilman and releasing records on Lookout!, and proved to be capable of pleasing the mainstream as well, as the record went on to sell impossibly well (over 20 million copies in the US alone) and be critically lauded as well, winning them a Grammy. But more than anything, it proved to be a well-loved album by fans, well except for the ones at Gilman. This original Green Day tour shirt from 1994 is nicely faded and worn with a professional repair on the armpit.
