Green Day are a punk band from California's East Bay. They were founded in 1987 and grew out of the punk scene situated around 924 Gilman Street, one of the most important DIY clubs in the country. They found underground success with their early released on Lookout! Records, and then in 1994, they released their major label debut, Dookie, which shot them into another stratosphere. It sold over 10 million copies in the US alone and cemented their place as one of the most important bands of the 90s, thanks to their well-crafted songs and somewhat snotty attitudes. Since their humble beginnings, they have gone on to release over a dozen albums, win Grammys, and constantly reinvent themselves. This original Green Day poster, in excellent condition, is from an early show of the band's with Tilt and Small at Portland, OR's La Luna on April 4.
