HR, the singer of the legendary Bad Brains, began performing solo under his own name in the mid 1980s. While his work in hardcore was chaotic and marked by his otherworldly stage presence complete with back flips and everything, his solo music was decidedly reggae, which the Bad Brains flirted with, but released on mostly punk labels. HR released his albums on SST and his own Olive Tree Records. HR still continues to play to this day. This original HR shirt is nicely faded and worn.
