Mercyful Fate are a Danish heavy metal band originally founded in 1981. In the band's initial run, they released two albums before breaking up in 1985 when singer King Diamond left the band and started his own solo project. They've gotten back together a few times since then, but the first time the band reunited was in 1993. They released the album In The Shadows and began touring again. The band continued on and off for the next two decades until they announced they would be fully functional again in 2019. This original Mercyful Fate shirt, nicely worn and faded with a few small repairs in the pit area, is from the band's initial reunion North American tour around In The Shadows in 1993.
