R.E.M., the legendary rock band from Athens, GA, released Fables Of The Reconstruction, their third full length, in 1985. While they again worked with the I.R.S. label, the brought Joe Boyd on board, a new producer who had previously worked with such groups as Pink Floyd and Nick Drake. Fables was a big hit for the band, going to #28 and eventually being certified Gold. And then only a few years later, of course, R.E.M. reached mainstream success and became a household name, one of the most important bands of their generation. This original R.E.M. long sleeve, with a few small marks and spots, is from their tour in support of Fables Of The Reconstruction.
