Rahsaan Roland Kirk was a jazz musician. While he did some great collaborating with artists like Quincy Jones and Charles Mingus, he is best known for his solo work. Kirk released an impressive amount of records across several different high profile labels. He was able to play multiple horns at the same time, often playing with various instruments strung around his neck and tuck under his armpits all at once. Kirk sadly passed away in 1977 at the age at 42 but left behind an incredible musical legacy.
