The Story
The Flaming Lips are a psych rock band from Oklahoma City, OK founded in 1983. They made their way through the underground to eventually being signed by major label Warner Bros in the early 1990s, eventually producing a hit song "She Don't Use Jelly" and, later, a Gold certified record. While they're still quirky and weird, they are now a household name for those same quirks and have released over 15 albums to critical and commercial acclaim. And they're still at it. But for many, it's those early days in the 1990s that they think of first. In 1993, they released Transmissions From The Satellite Heart and printed this design, known for its controversy but also for its great graphics. This extremely rare and original Flaming Lips shirt, with fading and light wear, is from 1993.
