Uncle Luke, the Miami, FL rapper, released Changin' The Game in 1997. The record, his sixth, featured the single "Raise The Roof," a song produced by Luke and DJ Spin and featuring No Good But So Good. It went to #1 on Billboard's Hot Rap Singles chart and #26 on their Hot 100. While the song was notable for its Miami bass sound, it was just as important for bringing the "raise the roof" hand gesture, where you motion both hands with flat palms towards the ceiling like you're pushing it higher.
