His records began to make their way to the top of the charts and his simple, rugged, and rock-influenced country made him somewhat of a star. And his fame extended beyond music, too. Jennings was the narrator on The Dukes Of Hazard. He was inducted into the Country Hall Of Fame in 2001. Sadly, he passed away the next year.
