David Lee Roth released his debut album Eat 'Em And Smile in 1986. But, of course, it wasn't his first album ever. Roth broke into the mainstream singing for Van Halen, one of rock's most popular bands. Since he was already a household name, Eat 'Em was a smash success, going to #4 in the US and eventually being certified Platinum. Roth's solo career has lasted into the present day, even with getting back together with Van Halen a few times.
