The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus was founded in 1978, making them the first openly gay chorus in the world. Now, decades later, they are still performing and are one of the largest chorale groups in the world with over 300 members. The SFGMC's early days were not without difficulty, but they persisted and continued on with determination. They were and still are recognized for their groundbreaking nature and skill.
