In 2003, two groups in the Darfur region of Sudan attempted to take on the government of Sudan advocating for an end of oppression towards non-Arabs. The governments response was, unthinkably, an attempted ethnic cleansing on those very same groups. The world responded strongly, trying to raise awareness and to hold the Al-Bashir regime accountable. Timberland, the century-old work boot company, made a shirt design advocating to "stomp out" genocide with their iconic footprint. This original Timberland anti Darfur genocide shirt is nicely worn and lightly faded.
